Private Jacuzzi in Dubai

Thirty minutes of private jacuzzi time at our DIFC branch, added to a massage or a Moroccan bath on the same visit. There is no therapist in the room and no sequence to follow: the half hour is yours to sit in the water and do nothing with. It is an add-on rather than a treatment, and the page says so plainly because that is what guests need to know before they book it.

What the 300 AED covers

The room and the half hour. Everything else on the DIFC menu is priced separately, and none of it is folded into this line.

This is an add-on, which is the one thing worth being clear about before you book. No therapist works with you during the thirty minutes, nothing is applied and nothing is performed. You have the jacuzzi to yourself for half an hour, and what it is good for is the gap on either side of a treatment rather than the treatment itself.

Because it carries no therapist, it is also the easiest thing on the menu to slot into an evening: it needs the room free rather than a specific person on shift. Ask reception to put it either side of your massage when you book, and confirm with them how many people the room takes if you are coming as a pair.

Before or after the massage

Both work, for different reasons. Only one of them is wrong, and only in one case.

Before the massage
Warm water loosens muscle in the same passive way held heat does, so the therapist starts on tissue that has already given a little. The usual choice.
After the massage
Quieter, and the half hour ends the visit rather than starting it. Some guests prefer not to be moved from the table straight back to the lift.
Not after the Moroccan bath
Book the jacuzzi before the hammam, not after it. The bath ends with the skin freshly scrubbed, and thirty minutes in water is not what that skin wants next.

Private Jacuzzi questions

Can I book the jacuzzi on its own?

+

It is sold as an add-on to a massage or a spa treatment rather than as a visit in its own right, so the honest answer is to ask reception rather than to assume either way. What is certain is how it is priced and printed: 300 AED for thirty minutes, on the DIFC menu, alongside the treatments rather than instead of them. If your plan is half an hour in water and nothing else, call the DIFC branch on the number on our contact page and ask directly before you travel, because the room is shared with the treatment schedule and an add-on booking and a standalone booking are held differently. Reception at DIFC answers from 10:00 until midnight, seven days a week. Booked the usual way, as the half hour attached to a treatment, it is the simplest thing on the menu to fit in: it needs the room free rather than a therapist on shift.

Is a therapist in the room?

+

No, and this is the single most common misunderstanding about the line, which is why it is stated on the menu, on this page and again at the desk. The 300 AED buys the private room and the half hour in it. Nobody works on you during that time, nothing is applied to the skin and there is no sequence to be led through. If what you actually want is thirty minutes of hands on work, the line you want is the Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage at 350 AED, which is also half an hour and does have a therapist. The two sit next to each other on the DIFC menu at almost the same price, and they are not variations on one another. If you want the water and the hands both, book the two together and ask reception to run them back to back, which comes to 650 AED for the hour in total.

Should the jacuzzi come before or after the massage?

+

Before, in most cases. Warm water loosens muscle passively, in much the same way held heat does in the hot stone massage, so a therapist starting after your half hour is working on tissue that has already softened. Afterwards is a fair choice too if you would rather not go from the table straight back to the lift, and plenty of guests book it that way. The one order to avoid is jacuzzi after a Moroccan bath: the hammam finishes with freshly scrubbed skin, and half an hour in water is not the thing to do to it next. Tell reception the order you want when you book so the two rooms are held in sequence rather than with an hour of waiting between them. Whichever order you choose, allow for the changing time between rooms when you plan the evening: half an hour in the water is half an hour of water, not half an hour of your visit.

Which branch has the private jacuzzi?

+

DIFC only, on floor 45 of the Residence Inn by Marriott at 115 Sheikh Zayed Road, in Trade Centre Second. It does not appear on the Al Barsha or Bur Dubai menus. DIFC is also the branch with the couples room and with its own hammam, so it is the address where a jacuzzi can actually be sequenced with something else on one visit. The branch is open from 10:00 to midnight seven days a week and rates 4.8 from 136 guests on its Google profile. Prices at DIFC already contain the 5% VAT, so 300 AED is what you settle at the desk rather than a figure that grows there. Reception answers on +971 56 395 8899, by WhatsApp on the same number and on Telegram, and the nearest metro is Emirates Towers.

Is there an Early Bird price for the jacuzzi?

+

No. The DIFC Early Bird list covers the Classical Swedish massage at 470 for an hour and 630 for ninety minutes, the Moroccan Bath at 300 rather than 400, the two hour hammam package with deep tissue or Balinese at 725 rather than 950, and the Full Body Exfoliation at 250. The jacuzzi is not on it and costs 300 AED at any hour. Where the morning still helps is the pairing: if you book the jacuzzi alongside a Swedish massage and start before 15:00, the massage drops to 470 and the visit as a whole costs less even though this line does not move. The branch page for DIFC prints the full Early Bird list. That pairing is the one place the morning hour changes what you pay here, and reception will price the pair for you on the phone before you commit to a slot.
